    Amanda Day Headshot

    Welcome HTA Families!

I am thrilled to be a part of the Higley Traditional Academy community! My name is Amanda Day. I am both excited and honored to serve as Higley Traditional Academy’s Assistant Principal for another school year.

On a personal note, I was born and raised in a small town in Kentucky, known as Burlington, and moved to Arizona in 2004. I earned a Master's in Educational Leadership with Principal Certification and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Arizona State University. Go Sun Devils! I also hold endorsements in Gifted Education and Structured English Immersion. I have six years of classroom experience followed by a year of experience as a Gifted & Talented Specialist Coach and two years as Dean of Students. The 2023-2024 school year marks my eleventh year serving the Higley district. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and am always planning for my next travel adventure.

I am committed to building successful relationships with HTA students, staff, families, and community members as we work together to achieve academic excellence while meeting each student's social and emotional needs. I believe that my role in education is to inspire all students and educators with the knowledge and skills to be positive leaders, achieving excellence.

I look forward to working together as we conquer the 2023-2024 school year. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

    Warmest regards,

    Amanda Day
