My name is Cynthia Allen, the students call me Ms. Cyndi. I am a native of Arizona and both of my children and their families live here. I have 5 grandchildren, 4 girls and a boy, who I love spending time with.
I have been in the Higley Unified School District for fifteen years. In total, I have 36 years of teaching experience. Four in first grade, one in cross categorical K-8, nine in autism, two years at the District Level and twenty years in Early Childhood Special Education.
While in Mesa Public Schools, I developed and started a pilot program as a teacher of severely autistic preschoolers and ran it for four years. I received my undergraduate degree from ASU in both Elementary and Special Education. I have also taken many additional classes, workshops and trainings. Special Education is where my heart is and I love seeing all the progress my students make.
