My name is Amy Jones and I am a Brilliant Beginnings teacher. After receiving my Bachelor of the Arts degree in Education, along with an Early Childhood Endorsement from Wayne State University, I began my teaching career in southeast Michigan in 2003. I have taught mainly in early elementary classrooms including preschool, kindergarten, first grade, and second grade.
I have worked with a diverse population of students, including students that are considered at-risk, students that are learning English as a second language, gifted students, and students with special needs. Most recently in 2013, I rediscovered my passion for teaching the youngest of learners and joined the preschool teaching team at Elona P. Cooley Early Childhood Development Center, which is where my true passion resides!
On a more personal side, after spending my entire life in St. Clair Shores, Michigan I decided to try moving across the country to Arizona in 2010! It turned out to be one of the best decisions that I have made. While living in Arizona, I found and married my very best friend and together we are raising our incredible children. When I am not teaching, I am spending every spare moment with my family!
