My name is Lexi Liebig and I’m a graduate of California Lutheran University with a master’s degree in Education. I have taught K-2 for the past 15 years. I am married to a captain of the Phoenix Fire Department and two children. My daughter is a soccer player in 7th grade and my son’s in 6th grade and loves football, baseball, and track.
I started my teaching career in Mesa at a Title I school. There I taught K, 1, and 2nd grade. I spent another 4 years at a charter school in Chandler teaching 2nd grade. Finally, I have found my home at Chaparral Elementary. This is my 7th year of teaching 2nd grade and hope to spend the rest of my career as a Chaparral Shark!
I am a very active person and teacher. I love to camp, hike, run, CrossFit, yoga, and practice meditation. I consider myself a very mindful teacher who strives to cultivate an environment of love, respect, and trust. I teach to hopefully inspire my students to love learning and to work hard towards their goals. My hope is that they leave my classroom feeling loved, cared for, smart, and appreciated for the unique person they are.
