I teach Digital Photography 1-3 in various iterations, Advanced Placement 2-D Studio Art "AP Photo", and advise the Aerial Yearbook. Twelve years ago my lifelong passion for photography became a profession for me; I specialize in concert photography, event photography and portraiture, including senior photos, family photography, and fashion photography. I have been involved with yearbook since 1989 and have been working with Williams Field's yearbook publishing company since 2004. As a member of the WFHS AP program, I have been instructing AP courses for over a dozen years. I enjoy film photography and collecting vintage cameras. My collection includes Kodak 2 cameras from the late 1800s, the 1948 Nikon M, and more Polaroids than you can imagine. We are always looking for film camera donations to use with the photography students. My wife (an elementary school teacher locally) and I live in Gilbert, AZ with my high school aged daughter & two bonus daughters.
As the Career & Technical Education (CTE) Department Chair, I strives to support and develop CTE programs that enhance the core educational programs at Williams Field High School. Philosophically, I strongly believe that every child has the right to learn and plan to work kinder not harder as I continue to build a safe environment for all learners in my collaborative, inquiry based classroom that balances real world technical skills with the fine arts.
