Want to Start a Club?
Student clubs are a great place to meet new friends, become involved with your school community, and make your mark in middle school. With a new school, students have an opportunity to start new clubs.
To start a club, the first step is to get a teacher sponsor. The sponsor will host your first meeting to determine interest. You will need at least 10 members who are also committed to the idea. Cooley clubs need to be open to any student. Your club sponsor will get administrative approval for the club. The sponsor will guide the development of goals and objectives for the club. The club can then work together to create a constitution and elect leaders.
So what club do you and your classmates want to start? A history club? A debate club? A foreign language club? An art club? What about a chess club? It up to the student of Cooley Middle School to decide.
