Kindergarten | Turner, Alissa

My name is Alissa Turner and I am a graduate of Cal State Long Beach with a degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis on Language and Literacy. I furthered my education by earning my Gifted Endorsement through Higley and I love incorporating all of the new ideas I learned in to my teaching.

 

I was born and raised in Orange County, California, which is why when moving to the beautiful desert years ago, I decided to bring a little of the beach with me in my classroom décor. I taught kinder, 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 5th in California and kinder and first in Arizona. I moved here in 2012, met my wonderful husband and two step sons. We have since added two very spoiled dogs to complete our family!

 

I absolutely love teaching and helping little creative minds discover and grow. I love being a part of Higley, because they help me provide an innovative learning environment where students don't just learn but "do" to positively impact our world.
