Dear Parents, Guardians and Community Members,
On behalf of the Higley Unified School District I am excited to welcome all of our Panther families to the 2018-2019 school year!. I look forward to working with our students, their families and our community to continue to build on the tradition of excellence at Power Ranch. It is exciting to be part of such a progressive district that prides itself on Connecting, Engaging and Inspiring students, staff and community members.
I am very fortunate to be the Principal of Power Ranch. We have incredible students and amazing teachers and staff. I have been in education for 16 years as a classroom teacher, a special education teacher and an administrator. I began my teaching career in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania before moving to Arizona in 2004. This will be my 8th year in administration and my fifth year as a Panther.
Year after year our students continue to amaze. This year will be no different. We will continue to focus on Growth Mindsets, encouraging our students to solve problems on their own and productively struggle through challenges. Our teachers are excited to push students beyond their limits as they raise the bar to help them reach their full potential. One opportunity that we will be providing our students this year is the Project Panther Place. This is our version of a makers space, where students can solve problems through hands on engineering and tinkering. We look forward to hosting our annual STEAM Night this year and this year we will be hosting a Math Night and a Literacy Night to showcase the incredible teaching and learning that is taking place on our campus every day.
Our priority is your child and we look forward to working with you to build a partnership that allows your child to grow in an environment that is positive, supportive and engaging.
