Welcome to Miss Larson's 6th Grade Classroom!
Welcome to another wonderful and exciting year at Higley Traditional Academy! I am very excited to be back and teaching 6th grade Language Arts again. This is my 7th year at HTA and my 12th year teaching. This year is going to be full of fun and exciting new experiences.
I know that one of the hardest things about starting a new school year is wondering what the teacher will be like. I was born in Southern California (which is where most of my family still lives) and I moved to Arizona when I was nine. I graduated from Arizona State University (GO DEVILS!) with a degree in Elementary Education. I then continued my studies and graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Masters of Education with a literacy focus. I enjoy time with my family, reading, traveling, playing with my pups, cooking, cheering on the Sun Devils, and anything outdoors. Whenever possible, I make time to go back to California and spend time with my family.
I will use this class website for sharing information for you to utilize at home. I encourage families to check often for updates happening in room 703!
Please feel free to contact me at anytime for any reason. You can reach me best through email: Hope.Larson@husd.org
. Thank you for all your support as we look forward to a great school year!
