My name is Melissa Ross and I teach 7th grade General Science and 7th grade Honors Science. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Arizona University as well as a Master’s in Educational Leadership. I also hold a Master’s in Educational Technology from the University of Phoenix.
I began my teaching career in 1998 and have been part of the Higley Unified School District since 2001. Sossaman Middle School has been my home since it opened and I am excited to continue to be a member of our growing Spartan community. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of teaching a variety of subjects spanning grades K-8.
In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I assist with clubs on campus and coach. I have experience coaching basketball, softball, and soccer at the middle school level. I have also coached high school volleyball and am very proud to be a current volleyball coach here at SMS.
