    Dear Williams Field Families,

I hope that each of you are enjoying the summer and staying cool in this Arizona heat. I wanted to take a moment and formally introduce myself. My name is Steve Tannenbaum, and I am thrilled to be the new principal of Williams Field High School. Williams Field, as you know, is an outstanding school, and I am looking forward to continuing the growth of this amazing high school.

As the Williams Field principal, I will continue to build the framework to shape and grow a school culture where students love coming to school, teachers love coming to work, and parents feel safe sending their kids to school.

I will work diligently to facilitate and promote positive growth in all students, all employees, and the community in which I am fortunate enough to serve. My core values as a leader are rooted in integrity, in professionalism, in building positive relationships, in strong communication, and in working closely as a team to support all students to accomplish their goals. I am an Arizona native who thrived in the public school system, and I knew from an early age that I wanted to work in the educational system to enhance the experience for students.

I encourage each of you to please introduce yourself to me and let me know how I can personally better the educational experience for your student. In the words of Helen Keller, "Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much." I am a firm believer that communities build schools, and in that, schools build communities. As a member of the community, I love the warmth of Gilbert and the sense of belonging that I feel with my wife, our 3-year-old son, and our 1-year-old daughter.

Over the summer, our administration team is working hard to enhance the programs, communication, environment, culture, and the overall organization of Williams Field. As you know, we have many exciting enhancements taking place to the campus of Williams Field. I want to say a huge thank you to our school board and district office for making Williams Field a priority and welcoming me with open arms.

If there are any questions or concerns before these dates, please stop by the front office, which is open from 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM Monday-Thursday. Once again, I hope all of you are enjoying your summer! I am thrilled to be a Black Hawk and look forward to our upcoming school year at Williams Field High School.

    Thank you,
    Steve Tannenbaum
