I am looking forward to my eleventh year at San Tan Elementary! I will teach 5th grade math & science. It is extremely important to me that your child has an experience in 5th grade which will develop positive self-esteem and academic success. Working together, 5th grade will be a wonderful and challenging experience for your child. At San Tan we use the 8 Habits to create a culture of leadership for all our students. The Leader in Me program inspires students to be leaders in school & at home.
A little bit about myself, I was born and raised in New Jersey. I attended college at Rutgers in Newark, NJ and Rio Salado here in AZ. My husband and I moved to Arizona 28 years ago and love it here! I have 22 year old twin sons and three dogs, Lucy, Ollie, and Bubba. They are always up to something interesting.
I know that education is a partnership of home, school and community. Frequent communication is vital for our success. Communication will primarily be emails and phone calls when necessary. I send home a newsletter with weekly updates. I look forward to meeting my new class of 5th graders!
