My name is Ms. Michelle Bernard. I will be your math teacher this year. Before teaching 6th grade math, I taught 5th grade here at Power Ranch for 4 years. For those of you that don’t know me from seeing me in the 5th grade/6th grade hallway or from popping into your 5th grade classroom last year, I look forward to getting to know you this year.
To tell you a little more about me, I was born and raised in Michigan. I graduated from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). I am still a huge U of M fan. I love math. I love teaching new concepts and playing around with numbers. I still remember my teachers from when I was in school that taught me that math was more than just numbers and shapes; there is a whole world to explore!
From adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions to writing and solving equations, we cover a lot of cool concepts!
