Welcome to the 2018-19 school year! This will be my 17th year at HTA. I taught 5th grade for twelve years and this will be my fifth year in fourth grade. I love HTA and the HTA community.
I grew up in Lubbock, Texas and received my BA in Education from Texas Tech University - home of the Red Raiders. I moved to Arizona in 1983 and taught for 2 years in the Chandler Unified School District, before taking time off to raise my three children. My oldest son, T.J., is an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at Grand Canyon University under the guidance of the former Phoenix Suns player, Dan Majerle.
My daughter, Holly, is a second grade teacher in the Kyrene School District. She and her husband Matt have a son named Paxton, my first grandchild. Paxton is two years old and loves to play cars, trucks and sports. My youngest son, Casey, is playing professional basketball in Europe.
