Proudly, I have been a Gateway Gator since our school opened in 2005. I am looking forward to teaching 6th grade math and I know that this year will be fantastic! If you need to reach me:480.279.7732 (voicemail)**SCHOOL HOURS**8:10 - 3:05My Education:Riverdale Senior High School '95Arizona State University '03-Elementary EducationNorthern Arizona University '07 M.Ed.-Elementary Educationw/Reading EndorsementA notes from the front office:
Our main priority is student learning. Therefore, we will not make phone calls into the classroom regarding personal deliveries such as homework, water bottles, sports uniforms, etc. We can, however, email the teacher and/or put the item in their mailbox.
We hope you will understand and appreciate our need to prioritize learning. Please help us eliminate interruptions to our instruction time..To report an absence, please call the attendance line at 480-279-7700 and press option 2.
Per Arizona Department of Education, State attendance guidelines have been revised. No longer can students be excused just because the parent or legal guardian called in. In order for absences to be excused, parents/legal guardians must notify the school prior to, or the day of the absence and provide a reason for the absence. The department of education defines an excused absence as follows:
- Dr’s appointment
- Family emergency
- Out of school suspension
- Chronic Ill (if form is on file)
- Religious holiday
Any other reason must be marked unexcused (personal, family, home, etc.). If a parent/guardian does not provide a reason for the absence, it will be marked unexcused. Additionally, in order for an absence to be excused when returning from appointments, the parent/guardian must sign the student in at the front desk and provide a reason for the absence.
