Welcome to the start of the 2022-2023 school year!

I have had the opportunity to serve our Gator community for the past eight years. I have held various roles through this service, such as a 5th-grade teacher, Title I Coordinator, and this marks my fourth year as the Assistant Principal. Before my service in Higley, I worked for Laveen School District.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Western International University. In addition, I hold two master’s degrees from Northern Arizona University, one in Elementary Education and the other in Educational Leadership.

Education has always been part of my life. My great-grandmother owned her own school, and every Sunday, during family dinners, stories were shared about teaching and working in a school. My dad served as a teacher for many years, and my brother works in higher education.

My husband and I have two daughters, Brianne and Mackenzie. Brianne is a senior this year, and Mackenzie is starting her freshman year. When not at school or work, we love spending time together. Our favorite things are traveling, baking, and playing games. Currently, our favorite is Ticket to Ride, and I am working on collecting the various versions of this game. I also love fitness. You may see me on the weekends running or out riding my bike.

This school year, we will continue our No Excuses University (NEU) mindset. One of our NEU goals is to bring college awareness to our students. We believe our job is to build a culture where students see themselves as lifelong learners and have a plan after high school.

I am committed to providing the very best for our students. Do not hesitate to contact me about any of your needs.
