My name is Tanya Waddell and I am a native of Virginia and have lived here in Arizona for the past 30 years. After working as a computer programmer analyst for 18 years, I changed my career to become a teacher. Although I enjoyed my job as a programmer, I wanted to do something more meaningful and fulfilling with my life.
I thought there was no better way than to shape young minds. I have been here at Cortina for the past 14 years, ever since it opened. My husband, Emilio, and I have one daughter, Veronica. She graduated from NAU two years ago and now lives in Florida. We all enjoy reading, hiking and spending time outdoors.
