Bob Edgar joined the Higley Unified School District in 2009, and became the Band Director at Williams Field High School in 2011. He is very proud to have the honor of opening Cooley Middle School in 2013.  Mr. Edgar was honored as the 2012-2013 Teacher of the Year for Power Ranch Elementary School and received the Town of Gilbert's Mayor's Lifetime Service Award. Bands under Mr. Edgar's direction have performed at many prestigious events including the Presidential Inaugural Parade in Washington D.C., Florida Citrus Parade, the Fiesta Bowl Parade and Blue Cross Blue Shield National Band Championships.  Bob Edgar is the current President of the Arizona Band and Orchestra Directors Association, and has served as the AIA Representative and President for Winter Guard Arizona and was inducted to the WGAZ Inaugural Hall of Fame Class in 2012. He holds a Bachelors of Music: Instrumental Education Degree from Arizona State University and an MBA from California Lutheran University.
