Safety and Security

Higley Unified School District is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment. The safety of all of our students, employees, and visitors is one of the top priorities in the district. The district continues to evolve in practices and procedures implemented to keep everyone safe. HUSD follows the National Incident Management System (NIMS) Preparedness Cycle, which uses an improvement plan to organize, equip, train, exercise, evaluate and improve our school safety plans. We partner with local law enforcement agencies and the Arizona Department of Education's School Safety Task Force to facilitate communication and ensure consistency in school safety planning and implementation.

Please Make Sure Your Contact Information is Up-to-Date

We want to make sure that we can get in touch with you about on-campus events or emergency situations. Please log in to ParentVUE, go to "My Account" and ensure that we have your current email address and phone number. If one of the phone numbers is a cell phone, please indicate that as well, so that we can send you a text message in the event of an emergency. If you do not have a ParentVUE account or need assistance accessing your account, please contact your student’s school.

Additionally, we encourage you to download the HUSD App to receive push notifications directly to your mobile device. Push notifications are utilized by school sites for upcoming events, reminders and daily communication. The app is available through App Store® or Google Play Store®.
