Higley Unified School District (HUSD) offers an exciting array of summer programs and camps tailored for students seeking enriching activities during their break. Whether your student is passionate about academic advancement, artistic expression, athletic pursuits, or simply seeking new adventures and friendships, HUSD has a selection of engaging options for them to explore and enjoy. Here are a few selections available for registration:

 

Kinder Kickstart 

Prepare your little ones for their exciting journey into kindergarten with our Kinder Kickstart program! If your child is starting Kindergarten in 2025, this program is the perfect opportunity to give them a head start. Join us from June 23rd to June 26th, 2024, between 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM, at your child's elementary school campus. 

During Kinder Kickstart, your child will get a firsthand glimpse of what kindergarten life is like. They'll have the chance to engage in fun activities and interactive sessions designed to introduce them to the school environment in a supportive and welcoming setting. 

Our goal is to ensure that your child makes a smooth transition into school, both academically and socially. By participating in Kinder Kickstart, you'll be providing them with the tools and confidence they need to succeed in kindergarten and beyond.

Kids Club/Higley Hangout Summer Enrichment Programs 

Get ready to embark on an exciting adventure this summer with Higley Hangout's Creatures Around the World  program! Each week, we’ll zoom around the world, diving into the amazing creatures that call different continents home. From the wild jungles of Africa to the icy tundra of Antarctica, your kids will explore a new place each week, learning about animals that roam, fly, or swim there.

But we won’t stop at just facts! Kids will unleash their creativity through fun art projects, stay active with thrilling games, and even get up close and personal with real exotic animals when the Wild Thing Bus rolls into town! Whether they’re creating a masterpiece inspired by the Amazon rainforest or racing like cheetahs in an epic game, there’s something for every curious explorer.

This summer, it’s all about making friends, getting wild, and discovering the coolest creatures from all over the globe. So come join the fun—your wild side is waiting to be unleashed!!

Summer Dates: May 29th to July 11th at Cortina Elementary

                            July 14-16th offered at each school. Registration for the final session is separate.

Summer Hours: 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM

Registration will remain open until May 12. However, please note that once an age group reaches capacity, you may be added to a waitlist. Space is limited, so be sure to register today!

Athletic Camps and Clinics

A variety of athletic camps and clinics are offered during the summer at several schools within Higley Unified School District. These programs are designed to promote physical activity, fitness, skill development, and sportsmanship in a supportive environment, helping students stay active and engaged while building valuable athletic skills.
