Food services notice - Sept. 22, 2017
Letters of delinquent cafeteria accounts will soon be going home with students. All HUSD students have an account set up with food services and can make purchases. If your child qualifies for free meals, he/she receives a meal.
Families can regulate student purchases or make deposits to a child’s meal account at www.mymealtime.com. Families can also bring a payment to the school office in an envelope with his/her name and ID # on it as soon as possible. Parents/guardians who have more than one child in HUSD, and would like to link their accounts to share funds can visit www.husd.org/familymealaccount.
Families are responsible for paying negative balances and maintaining sufficient funds to purchase school meals. If you cannot afford to pay for school meals, you may apply for free or reduced price meals at www.mymealtime.com.
District Governing Board adopts three-years of school calendars
The District Governing Board approved school calendars for the next three years during a board meeting Sept. 6, 2017.
The calendars reflect the format most requested by the community and staff in recent surveys, keeping the district on the current modified year-round calendar that has been in place. The board voted at a previous meeting to maintain that format.
The uploaded calendars include the first and last days of school, as well as the vacation schedules. In the next few months, early release days for professional development and parent-teacher conferences will be determined and added.

Kids Club Fall Break Camp
Kids Club is excited to announce our Kids Club Fall Farm Camp. Camp will run for students in preschool through sixth grade who are registered in our Kids Club Program.
Kids Club Fall Camp will be located at Power Ranch Elementary (4351 S Ranch House Pkwy, Gilbert, AZ 85297) and will be available from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Cost is $40/per day and includes snacks and field trips.

E-mail Communication – Stay in Touch with Your SchoolClasses begin July 24. Please visit www.husd.org/calendar to view the 2017-2018 calendar. Now is a good time to sign up or update Constant Contact e-mail subscriptions.
These e-mails include weekly information from schools, emergency communication and event updates. Families can also select to receive district and/or Community Education e-mails. To stop receiving e-mail from a particular school, click “unsubscribe” at the bottom of the latest e-mail received. New sign ups can be completed at www.husd.org/emailcom.
Please note: Families can also change/update their e-mail address for Constant Contact (formerly known as E-alert) using the same steps. However, this does not update the e-mail address on file at the school. That must be done at the school office.
ParentVue ReminderAll HUSD families should sign up for a ParentVue account. This allows parents to view student grades and absences, as well as see – when they are posted – class schedules and teacher information. The district also uses ParentVue during class selection times at the middle schools and high schools.Sign up requires an IN PERSON visit to the school office. If you already have a ParentVue account, and your child is moving from one HUSD school to another, no action is required. The updated information will appear when it is available.If you have questions, please contact your school's office.
