Governing Board President
Amanda Wade has been a part of education and the Higley School District since 2011. She began her teaching career in 2011 and spent six years total teaching in the Higley Unified School District, with the majority of that time spent at Williams Field High School. She taught for an additional four years at Walter Johnson High School in Bethesda, Maryland, while her husband earned his medical degree. After moving back home to Arizona with their two children and returning to teaching at Williams Field, Mrs. Wade made the decision in 2021 to leave the classroom and pursue other ways to impact education. She currently spends as much time as she can helping at Gateway Pointe Elementary, where both of her children attend, and she is currently pursuing graduate programs in Education Policy.

Tiffany Shultz has been a proud member of the Gilbert community for over fifteen years. She is a small business owner, a wife and mother. Her agency, Levitate, produces a variety of successful festivals, including Sweets Festival, Bacon, Blues & Brews and Vintage & Vino. She has recently opened a shop at the San Tan Village Mall carrying Arizona products, Sip & Shop, A Local Collection. Mrs. Shultz is the wife of a firefighter and Mother to Sophya and Scarlett. She has a background in journalism, public relations, event production and earned a B.A. from ASU. She was selected as AZ Central’s “35 under 35” and enjoys volunteering at her children’s school, charities and community organizations. She is a member of the Class of 29, Gilbert Leadership Class. She enjoys travel above all, and learning new things and cultures. Her happy place is camping at the beach. You can find her on her Peloton, eating tacos, at a live concert. She is very excited about this opportunity to serve her community and looks forward to working with everyone.

Mr. Scott Glover has been a public school teacher for nearly thirty years and has dedicated his life to American public education. He is married to another lifelong educator and has two adult sons, one of whom is studying to be a teacher. He has taught everything from Kindergarten to high school. worked in administration and coached numerous sports throughout his life. He always seeks ways to mentor and support students and staff and serve the community.
He believes public education is a public good and a cornerstone of our democracy.
He previously served on the HUSD Governing Board from Jan. 2017-Jan. 2021.

Sara Jarman is a dedicated wife, mother of five, and holistic healthcare practitioner with over a decade of experience. She has lived in the valley for 20 years and the district for 12, enjoying the Arizona sun. She has been a guiding light for families, particularly mothers and children, focusing on holistic wellness. In addition to her healthcare work, Sara has experience in property management and serves as the secretary for her Homeowners Association (HOA). Sara's commitment to service is further highlighted by her receipt of the National Woodbadge Scouter Award from the Boy Scouts of America, reflecting her leadership and dedication to youth. Actively involved in her church, she consistently supports her community with her compassionate spirit. Recently, Sara became an instructor in Foot Zone therapies, furthering her passion for empowering individuals, especially mothers and children. Her life’s work embodies compassion, versatility, and dedication, making a significant impact on those around her. She looks forward to serving the community in this capacity.

Anna Van Hoek is a small business owner and has worked in the banking industry for 20 years. She has over 25 years of finance experience. Mrs. Van Hoek has been an active member of the community as a parental rights and health freedom advocate. She and her husband have two teenage girls and they love to travel as a family. Mrs. Van Hoek is and has always been devoted to parents and children and she is looking forward to working with the school district and parents to make positive changes in the lives of our families and our community. It’s this intense dedication, passion, and devotion that fuels her fight to make HUSD a great district for all students.
