For nearly a century, career and technical education (CTE) programs across the United States have focused on equipping students with technical and life skills to help them become productive citizens. Now more than ever, CTE programs are needed to help ensure the strength of our workforce, global competiveness and the economic health of our nation.
The CTE Department at HUSD provides students with real-world skills in a wide variety of fields ranging from Biotechnology, Engineering/Project Lead the Way, Film/TV, Graphic Design, Marketing and Sports Medicine. Our programs strive to lead the way in cutting edge technology. Our CTE programs are planned course sequences of high quality academic core content and technical skills. Students involved in our programs are prepared for success in higher education and prepared to successfully transition toward their career goal.
We are proud of our teachers and the programs we offer. Multiple studies show that students who concentrate in a CTE program are more likely to graduate from high school. We believe our caring environment and applied curriculum benefits every student. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call our office.
