HTA Receives "A" Rating
Higley Traditional Academy is proud to announce that we have earned an “A” rating on the Arizona Department of Education A-F report card system. Higley Traditional Academy scored a 99.08% making us the top performing school in Higley Unified School District. Not only are we the top performing school in Higley Unified School District, we are among the top 10 elementary schools in the state! This comes with hard work and dedication from every member of the Higley Traditional Community! We appreciate all of the tireless support of our parents and sending us amazing students to work with every day.
These percentages are calculated with a number of factors taken into consideration. The largest portion of the letter grade is determined by the number of students scoring in the proficient and highly proficient categories as well as the growth that students make. I am so very proud of the growth that our students are making each and every day in our classrooms. Our professional and dedicated teachers know that it is much more than just test scores that make us a school of choice for our Higley Community. Our student centered learning environments consider the needs of the whole child and are filled with kindness and respect.
To all of our Higley Traditional Community……We appreciate you and are honored to serve the families.
Kids Club is excited to welcome all families to the 2018 - 2019 school year. We provide before and after school care programs and Kids Club Camps during school breaks to enhance the learning that takes place during the school day for students in preschool through sixth grade.
Kids Club is available at our two Early Childhood Development Centers and at all our elementary schools from 6:00 a.m. until school begins and directly after school until 6:00 p.m.

Higley Unified School District has launched an APP as another tool for communication with Higley families. The new system will allow schools to send e-mails, as well as push notifications for those who download the app.
We are excited to offer this new communication tool to our families and look forward to seeing how it grows over the next few months.
Please note: In order to continue receiving e-mail communication, families must have a current, up-to-date e-mail address on file with their schools. The current Constant Contact system will be phased out before the end of the school year. Families that do not have an updated e-mail with the schools may not receive all the communication being sent.
If you have changed your e-mail in the last few months, created a new e-mail or have not provided an e-mail to your school, please do so as quickly as possible.
All HUSD families should sign up for a ParentVue account. This allows parents to view student grades and absences, as well as see – when they are posted – class schedules and teacher information. The district also uses ParentVue during class selection times at the middle schools and high schools.
Sign up requires an IN PERSON visit to the school office. If you already have a ParentVue account, and your child is moving from one HUSD school to another, no action is required. The updated information will appear when it is available.
If you have questions, please contact your school's office.

Visitors on campus
All visitors are required to sign in at the office when we open at 7:45 a.m. During the first week of school, we allow parents and guardians to walk their children to the class meeting place to help the students find where they need to wait.
Throughout the remainder of the school year, we are a closed campus and we require all visitors to sign in at the office and acquire a visitor badge between the hours of 7:45 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. It is a requirement that all visitors sign in at any school office prior to entering campus while school is in session. This procedure helps us to ensure all kids safety.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call our school office at (480) 279.6800.
