    Q: Why are schools closed? 

    A: At the direction of the State, the schools are closed through the remainder of the school year.

    Q: During the closure, will students still receive instruction?

    A: Yes. Please contact the teacher directly with any questions.

    Q: Will Higley provide meals?

    A: Higley meal service stated Monday, March 23. Families can receive both breakfast and lunch sack meals.

    Q: Is Kid’s Club still open while schools are closed? 

    A: No. Kid's Club is closed at this time.

    Q: Will field trips and school-sponsored events, including athletics, be cancelled? 

    A: During the closure, all field trips and school-sponsored events are cancelled.

    Q:  How will HUSD handle COVID-19? 

    A: We are stressing good health practices to limit the spread of any type of influenza, as set forth by the Maricopa County Health Department. We will take our direction from the Arizona Department of Health, the Maricopa County Department of Public Health and/or the CDC. 
    Q: Where can I find reliable sources on the response to COVID-19?
    A: The Arizona Department of Health ServicesCenters for Disease Control and the World Health Organization all have dedicated, reliable information websites to this evolving situation.
