    COURSE DESCRIPTION:  Earth Science is a “minds-on” science class designed to provide a comprehensive survey of the human interactions with the environment, in a manner in which critical thinking skills are used to study our impact on the world around us.  Emphasis will be placed on exploring the connections that exist between science, technology and the way we use our natural resources.

    SUPPLIES:

    1. Pen (blue or black ink only accepted on turned-in work) and pencil
    2. Colored pencils and highlighter (optional but very helpful)
    3. Notebook paper and graph paper
    4. Optional- One box of kleenex.

    Quarter grades will be calculated based on student test scores, quizzes, lab reports, journals, homework, projects, and presentations.  Grades are based on cumulative points per quarter and the percentage of possible points awarded. Letter grades are based on the following percentages:
