Colonel D. Scott Vaughn

Colonel Vaughn is a distinguished graduate of the University of Colorado's Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, earning his degree and commission in 1990.  A career civil engineer officer, Colonel Vaughn served in a variety of engineer positions at base, group, and major command levels, including four command tours.  Colonel Vaughn's deployment experiences include service as the executive officer and senior engineer for a humanitarian joint task force in the Kingdom of Cambodia, as well as two combat tours in Iraq.

Following retirement from active duty in December 2014, Colonel Vaughn worked for Arizona State University as the Associate Director for University Housing Facilities.  Colonel Vaughn had the honor and privilege to join the Higley Unified School District as one of two Aerospace Science instructors with the Air Force Junior ROTC program in August 2017.
