Hello and welcome to 2nd grade! My name is Mrs. Brueck (previously Miss Sopko) and I am so excited to be your 2nd grade teacher this year. I am originally from Iowa, but I started my career here in Arizona. I have loved exploring the southwest the past few years!
My Education and Professional Background: I earned my degree in Elementary Education from Dakota State University in Madison, South Dakota. Since graduating in 2017, I have taught 4th grade and 2nd grade. I love teaching both!
My Educational Philosophy: Teaching is more than just a job; it is an opportunity to interact with children and to help them grow! To have a successful year, it all starts with building relationships, and I can’t wait to get to know my students. I strive to create a classroom environment where all my students feel comfortable being themselves and are ready to come to school every day to learn and work hard. Let’s have a great year!
