Hi, my name is Jennifer Fraley and I am an art teacher here at Higley H.S.
I have been with the Higley School District since July of 2009. I graduated with a BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and later acquired a Post-Bach. Certification in K-12 Art, with an emphasis in Secondary Education. I am a mother of 3, and have been married since 1984.
I believe art education not only promotes growth in other academic areas, but, instills self-actualization, creative resourcefulness, and empowers students by giving them skills that can be used to enrich their lives, no matter which path they choose.
I hope to ignite an inspiration, and appreciation for art in my students, not only in finished products, or “works,” but, in the artistic process itself.
There is art in everything and a form for everyone. I have seen many students, who have labeled themselves a “non-artist,” discover skills they didn't know they had.

I am looking forward to seeing all of the different types of artwork you will create. Each of you is unique and has a special style, story, idea, or emotion to share. Use your art lessons as opportunities to be creative, grow and improve those critical thinking skills. Everyone has a creative/artistic side. I love art and hope to share its’ joys with you. Get ready to explore and discover the part of you that is waiting to be unleashed, discovered, and developed!
