My name is Jay Benne' and I grew up in Colorado before my family moved to Edmond, Oklahoma where I finished high school at Edmond Memorial High School. My family moved again to Ruston, Louisiana where I went to university and graduated with my degrees in Bachelor's of Science in Secondary Education and my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Louisiana Tech University.
I then moved to Aubrey, Texas and taught one year at Aubrey High School for one year. I left the teaching profession until July 2016 where I taught 8th Grade in Casa Grande Elementary School District for two years. I moved to Scottsdale Unified School District and taught one year there. This will mark my ninth year as an educator and I am proud to be a 12th Grade English Teacher at Higley High.
I have two young children of my own and my wife and I have lived in Arizona for 8 years.
