Heather Brown is the current first grade teacher in the THINK Academy program at Bridges Elementary school. With over 20 years in education, she has devoted her professional life to supporting children as 3-dimensional learners whose physical, social, and emotional needs must be met in order for the cognitive skills to grow. Mrs. Brown approaches classroom instruction and learning as a 3-dimensional experience as opposed to a linear path.
Mrs. Brown has taught in various settings across the United States from public to private institutions, prekindergarten through sixth grade, and with a wide range of abilities. Alongside her bachelor of science and master of education degrees in early childhood education, she is certified in the states of Texas and Arizona to teach pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, with endorsements in Gifted Education and English as a Second Language.
Mrs. Brown is a mother of 2 teenagers who keep her evening busy with school and sporting events. Additionally, she enjoys camping, kayaking, hiking, and the sunshine with her time away from the classroom.
