My name is Shubhra Khan. I was born and raised in India and moved to the United States seventeen years ago to explore the education system here. I have a Bachelor of Science degree, Bachelor of Education degree, and further continued schooling to complete a master’s degree in science. I also received my gifted education endorsement three years ago. I began my teaching career in 2000 in United Public School, India and moved to Arizona in 2003. I have been teaching for 19 years, 18 of those years have been in elementary grades and one year in middle school. Currently, I teach 4th grade accelerated math, 4th grade regular math and science.

When not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. I am married to my high- school sweetheart, Nasir and have two wonderful boys, Sameer and Ayaan. My husband and I are Gilbert residents and like to spend time outdoors, watching our son’s baseball games and taking our dog for a walk. Some of my favorite activities include crafting, cooking, watching movies, and traveling to different places. So far, my family and I have visited three continents and eight countries. We love exploring new cultures, trying new foods, and meeting new people all around the world.
