My name is Shubhra Khan. I was born and raised in India and moved to the United States twenty years ago to explore the education system here. I have a Bachelor of Science degree, a Bachelor of Education degree, and further continued schooling to complete a master’s degree in science. I also received my gifted education endorsement eight years ago.
I began my teaching career in 2000 at United Public School, India, and moved to Florence, Arizona in 2003. I have been teaching for twenty- two years, and twenty of those years have been in elementary grades. Currently, I teach fourth-grade accelerated math, fourth-grade regular math, and science at Cortina Elementary School.
When not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I are Gilbert residents and have two wonderful boys, Sameer and Ayaan. Some of my favorite activities include crafting, cooking, watching movies, and traveling. So far, my family and I have visited three continents and eight countries. We love exploring new places and enjoy meeting people from different parts of the world.
