Welcome back Gators! For the past four years I have had the pleasure of working at Gateway in our Literacy Café program, teaching 5th grade, and serving as the Title I Coordinator. I am thrilled to return this school year as your assistant principal. Prior to my service in Higley I worked in Laveen teaching 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. This year will be my 10th year in education and I am sure it will be the best yet.

I currently live in Mesa with my husband Will and our two daughters Brianne and Mackenzie. Our girls also have an exciting year to come. Brianne will begin her freshman year in high school and Mackenzie is starting 6th grade as a middle schooler. When taking time off from school we enjoy traveling, playing games, and seeing movies. Will and I also enjoy entertaining friends and family on the weekends.

As we begin this school year, I want all families to know that student success is my priority. I believe in creating environments where students feel supported and valued. I am committed to family partnerships that support each student. While I have gotten to know many of our Gateway families, please do not hesitate to reach out to me to either introduce yourself or if you need support. I am more than happy to assist you in any way that I can.

    Warm Regards,
    Andrea Szabo
