100 Bikes
Higley Unified School District announces 100 Bikes for 100 Kids

Higley has surpassed its goal to collect 100 bikes to benefit 100 needy students, from kindergarten through high school. Students from the boys and girls varsity basketball teams from Williams Field and Higley High School participated in delivering the donated bikes to each of the 10 school sites within the Higley district.

“None of this happens without the kindness of our donors and the effort of our volunteers,” said organizer Art Wagner, Director of Secondary Programs for HUSD. “It was terrific to watch our 60+ students-athletes working side-by-side with our community members to complete our task, and I think we all had a little fun along the way. “

Each of Higley’s 10 schools will be delivering the new bikes to their lucky recipients this week. HUSD thanks staff, parents, district supporters and business partners for providing more than 100 new bikes. Special thanks to the following contributors:
