  • Higley High to launch pilot ‘Bring Your Own Technology’ program

    Higley High is launching a pilot program this semester that allows students to bring their own electronic devices to school to use during teacher-led activities. This pilot program is designed to measure the integration of technology into day-to-day classroom instruction.

    An informational meeting will be held 5:30 p.m. Feb. 1 at the Higley Center for Performing Arts for all Higley High families to learn more about this pilot project.

  • Parents of 2017/18 7-12th graders

    Students who will be in middle school and high school during the 2017-18 school year will make course selections online in January. Parents and guardians need to be sure they have a ParentVue account to help with this new process. ParentVue also allows families to see student grades and attendance information.

  • Attention Parents of Future Higley High School Freshmen!

    You’re invited to Higley High School’s Parent Night for parents/guardians of incoming HHS freshmen on Tuesday, January 24th from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the Higley Center for Performing Arts! We can’t wait to share valuable information regarding HHS curriculum, athletics, activities, and more!   • HUSD Food Service Announcement

    Beginning January 9, students without sufficient funds in their meal accounts to pay for a meal may be given a USDA approved alternative meal instead of the regular hot lunch. 

    Please check your student’s balance and make a deposit if needed at www.mymealtime.com

    You may also send a check or cash in an envelope to your elementary or middle school office, or to the café with your high school student.

  • Senior Parents/Guardians

    Balfour will be on our campus Monday, December 5th during both lunch periods in the cafeteria. They will be taking orders for all of your student’s graduation needs and answering any questions you might have. Also, you can still place orders at www.esbalfour.com

    The price for caps and gowns is currently $33 with no shipping and handling charges. After February 1st, the price goes up to $55 plus shipping and handling.

  • Graduation Information

    Higley High’s Class of 2017 graduation will take place 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, at ASU’s Wells Fargo Arena in Tempe. No tickets required to attend. Further information will be available in the spring.

    It’s that time of year for you to update your email address, unsubscribe, or register for a new school to receive email notifications from schools, Community Education (including Kids Club), and the District.

    Email information could include communication about emergency situations, registration information and upcoming events.

    If you wish stop the e-mails from the previous school, you may click the “unsubscribe” button at the bottom of the e-mails you receive.

  • Register My Athlete


    In an attempt to streamline the athletic clearance process, Higley High School is going paperless. Using the enclosed instructions, you will now complete the athletic clearance packet electronically at Register My Athlete.com. All forms can be viewed and signed electronically, and additional required forms (i.e.-physical forms, etc.) can be uploaded to your account. Please follow the enclosed instructions to register your students for athletic clearance, for the 2016-2017 academic school year.   • Parent Vue Updates 
     
    To help effectively monitor the level of your child's academic progress, the Higley Unified School District provides a parent portal known as ParentVue. This detailed system grants you the opportunity to quickly and conveniently access grades, class schedules, attendance histories, assignment information, and other student information including messages from teachers. It is also designed to increase communication between schools and their families with our end goal of student success.
     
    Please make note of the following changes as we encourage parents to take advantage of our online resources. One of Edupoint's greatest features is the ability to view and print your student's report cards; therefore, we will no longer be printing and mailing progress and semester grades. Should circumstances prohibit you from gaining computer access for this purpose, please contact 480.279.7312 and a printed copy will be available for pick up in the front office. 
     
    Additionally, course registrations for the 2017-2018 academic school year will take place online. In order to complete this multi-step task, parental approval for class selections will be required. Further information regarding the registration process will be available in late January as your son and/or daughter meets with their respective counselor.
     
    We encourage you to come on campus, contact Katie Davis, or call 480.279.7316 to collect your unique portal activation code. If you already have an account, please take the time to log-in ensuring your account has not been disabled. Help with user names and/or passwords may also be answered by utilizing the resources provided above.

  • Support Higley High and receive up to $400 AZ Tax Credit
     
    The state of Arizona allows you to receive a tax credit of up to $200 ($400 if married and filing jointly) when you make an ECA tax credit donation to our school. We will use your tax dollar donation to help fund extra curricular activities and opportunities for our students to extend their learning beyond the regular school day and you will get a dollar-for-dollar credit towards your tax return. Before and after school tutoring, school clubs and field trip experiences are just a few of the enrichment programs that are made possible when ECA funds are donated to our school.  Please name Higley High School as the recipient of your donation so that we may provide quality enrichment programs like these for our learners. We appreciate your support and are dedicated to spending your tax dollars responsibly.
