  • No summer meals program 
    Higley Unified School District will not provide free meals to children ages 0 to 18 this summer, contrary to previous reports. 
     
    The Arizona Department of Education recently changed its methods of determining which districts could participate in the program.  
     
    Families who may qualify for the summer meals program should visit www.azsummerfood.gov/food-site-locations to find the nearest participating location.

    Registration can be taken several ways for your convenience.
     
    For Kids Club Summer Camp, registration must be done in person by the parent or guardian only. Registration forms must be filled out completely and include current immunizations. Registrations for summer camp cannot be sent by fax, email or online.
     
    For all Summer Enrichment Classes, registration can be completed in person, online, by phone, email or fax. If registering by email or fax, a Community Education Specialist will contact you to complete your payment by phone.
    In Person: Community Education offices, 3333 E. Vest Ave. Bldg. A., Gilbert, AZ 85295, Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m.

    Two New Early Childhood Development Centers

    Scheduled to Open For 2013-14 School Year!

     
    Beginning the 2013-2014 school year, Higley Unified School District is proud to open our brand new, state of the art, Early Childhood Development Centers on the campuses of our new middle schools. 

    Both Centers will offer 3 Early Childhood programs to fit the interests and schedules of all families.  Our newest program is Brilliant Beginnings for 3’s and early 4’s.  We will also offer our Kindergarten Prep program for 4’s and 5’s and our STARS program for our special needs students.

    Several open houses will be offered at Higley’s District Office, 2935 S. Recker Road, in the Governing Boardroom.  Patti Gleason, Director of Preschool Programs, will introduce the programs and answer questions.  Staff will be on hand to assist with registration.
