The Higley Unified School District is commemorating Higley’s 100 year birthday through various centennial celebrations during the 2009-10 school year. The 100 Bikes for 100 Kids event was held on Saturday, December 12, to kick off the celebrations. “I’m thrilled to announce that our staff, parents, PTOs, booster clubs, district supporters, and business partners exceeded our expectations with a final total of donated bikes reaching 121!” stated Dr. Denise Birdwell, Higley Unified School District Superintendent.

The week of December 14-18, Maureen Migacz, Principal and Joe Torres, Assistant Principal held a special event to present 10 students with shiny new bikes! Congratulations students and keep up the great work!

San Tan Elementary sends out a special thank you to all of the sponsors for their support and generous contributions.
