Community is a common term known by Middle School Students at San Tan Elementary. How is this possible, by building community one child at a time? San Tan set the stage to once again promote cohesive community building throughout the school themed around the Olympics.

Teachers spent three days letting students create a Community Statement and Code of Cooperation. Each class chose an Olympic sport that would represent their ability to thrive despite adversity. They engaged in team-structured activities that helped forge mutual trust and interdependence with one another. On the final day, each student had the opportunity to listen and vote for his or her favorite Community Statement and Code of Cooperation. Every class had an opportunity to reveal stage show presentations that entwined a Bullying Prevention program, 2nd Step that the middle school will be implementing throughout the year as well.

The entire staff at San Tan has been entrusted with the amazing responsibility of educating children that value integrity, generosity, faith, courage and service. Our second home of San Tan strives to foster a genuine sense of personal vocation and mission.
