Welcome to the 2012-2013 school year. My name is Caryn Bacon and I am very excited to be the Assistant Principal of Power Ranch Elementary. I am an Arizona native and live in the Gilbert community. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and traveling. In 1994, I completed my undergraduate work at Arizona State University and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis on Early Childhood Education and Development. I later returned to Arizona State University to complete my Master’s Degree in Instructional Leadership and Supervision. I come to you with 17 years of experience teaching in the elementary grades and working as an Assistant Principal, Academic Specialist and Coach. At Power Ranch it is our goal to facilitate a safe and engaging learning environment for students, a warm and welcoming environment for parents, and removing all obstacles so teachers can teach and students can learn. I enjoy helping students identify their strengths and never lose sight of their individuality. Every child should be treated with kindness and respect.
