Mrs. Taylors Behavior Policy/Discipline Plan

My class will be using a scale discipline policy.  All students will begin each day on the number 4 and progress up and down the scale based on their behavior.  At the end of the day their final number will be what they write down in their S.H.A.R.K. book.  Listed below are what the different numbers mean.

5 Wonderful day

4 Good day

3 Student will miss 10 minutes of recess

2 Student will miss entire recess

1 Student will be sent to the office, parents will be contacted

Each afternoon the students will write in their number for the day in their S.H.A.R.K. book.  This is to keep parents informed of how their child is doing.

Severe Disruption/Circumstance:

A student will be immediately sent to the principal and parents will be contacted if any of the following behaviors occur.

  1. A student commits or threatens to commit physical harm on another student or adult.
  2. A student damages or destroys student, teacher, or school property.
  3. A student engages in a behavior that inhibits the classroom from functioning if I can not teach or the children can not learn.

Success Club Requirements:

Success Club is when we do a fun activity on Friday to celebrate students hard work throughout the week.  Below is a list of reasons why a student would not be able to participate in Success Club.

  1. If a child receives 2 or more number 3s or a more severe number for the week, he/she will not be able to participate during Success Club.
  2. If a child is missing class work or homework, he/she will not be able to participate during Success Club.

If a student has not met the requirement to participate during Success Club, they will sit out in order to complete their missing assignments or to read an A/R book.

Thank you for your support!
