History

Centennial was named in honor of the district's 100th anniversary, which it celebrated in 2009. Our state of the art school opened in August 2009 to almost seven hundred students with room across our campus to grow. We are a community school in the Higley Unified School District serving neighborhood kindergarten through eighth grade students.

Our learning environment provides each and every child the opportunity to learn and grow in a safe environment and develop a life-long quest for learning and knowledge.
After its first year of operation, Centennial was designated an Excelling school by the Arizona Department of Education in 2010.

In addition to our outstanding staff and students throughout the grade levels, we also are home to the District's Self-Contained Gifted Program for grades two through six, as well as the District Kindergarten Preparatory for four and five year olds.
