         electric bill, etc.)

       • Driver’s License

    Who qualifies for kindergarten?
If your child will be five years of age by August 31, 2012, he or she qualifies for the 2012-2013 school year.

If your child will be five years of age between September 1, 2012 and December 31, 2012 you may consider having your child tested to see if he/she will qualify for early entrance kindergarten. We currently are accepting applications for early entrance. There is a fee of $45.00 to cover the assessment. This can be done at the District Office through the Community Education Department at 2935 South Recker Road in Gilbert. The assessments begin in June and will conclude prior to the first day of school. Students who qualify for early entrance through the assessment may then enroll.

Where do I enroll my child for kindergarten?
Enrollment for the 2012 - 2013 school year takes place at our K-8 schools. Please visit your home school to enroll your child. If you live outside the district boundaries, please call (480) 279.7000 so that we can help you with your selection of schools. Enrollment packets and school boundary information can be found here. The information is also available in each of our school offices.

  • Parent Pick-up/Drop-off Safety Reminders

During the rush to get students to campus on time please be aware of the following rules for the parent pick-up/drop-off:

    1.  Cars are to pick-up/drop-off students in the lane closest to the sidewalk.  The left lane if for moving traffic only.
    2.  Cars are directed to move forward to alleviate traffic congestion in our side road crosswalks; please pull forward.
    3.  Cars are not to be left unattended in the parent pick-up/drop-off.
    4.  Students are to enter the car from the sidewalk, not the driver's side doors.
    5.  The crosswalk in front of the 200 building should always be clear of traffic for pedestrian access.

These five points are paramount in providing a safe area for student to unload and load.  We ask for your kindness and mindfulness this holiday season as you drive through our parking lot.

Thank you for your continued support in keeping our sharks safe!
