Coronado had its first annual Co-Ed 8th Grade vs. Staff Flag Football Game on Thursday, December 17, 2009. The 8th Grade homerooms each selected representatives from their homeroom to play on the 8th grade team. Staff members included both teachers and support staff from all grade levels, and many teachers brought their classes out to cheer on both sides. The game was a hard fought one, with the 8th Grade striking first. At the end of the first quarter, the game was close with the Staff winning 8-6. The staff continued to lead throughout the rest of the game, with a final score of 28-26. Both sides played well, but the Staff were proud to finish with the victory and bragging rights for the rest of the year! 4333 South De Anza Boulevard.
