Second grade students at Chaparral Elementary have been spending their science time studying weather. They have learned that studying the weather is not always a precise science, but one that takes great observational skills and high tech tools. Students learned that a person who studies and watches the weather is called a meteorologist. They were curious and wanted to know more about a meteorologist’s job. Thanks to April Warnecke, of News Channel 3, our second grade Sharks were given a chance to meet, listen to and ask questions of a real meteorologist.
