The Cat in the Hat Comes Back to Chaparral!
Students at Chaparral Elementary celebrated Read Across America Week with a visit from one of their all-time favorite book characters- The Cat in the Hat. “The Cat” greeted students as they arrived at school and visited several classrooms throughout the day to read books by Dr. Seuss.
The week-long celebration is showcased by Chaparral’s Second Annual Red, White, and READ Literacy Night. Students return to school with their families to enjoy a variety of reading activities hosted by classroom teachers.
