Battle of the Books Champions
On Tuesday evening April 27th, the District Battle of the Books competition was held at the Queen Creek Performing Arts Center. One team from each Higley elementary school and 6 Queen Creek schools competed for the honor of the Battle of the Books Champion.
After 8 rounds, the team from Centennial Elementary took top honors. They will now be moving on to the Regional competition on May 11th against teams from Mesa and Chandler. Teams from Cortina and HEMS will also be attending.
The winning team members were Grayson Kahle, Kyle Johnson and Chano Ybarra.
