Girls Basketball:
This year the Lady Black Hawk Basketball Program wanted to help our school district reach out to the community to make a positive impact. As a result, we chose to purchase a bike, helmet, and bike lock to give to the school district for their 100 bikes collection. In addition, we also volunteered to help build, load, and deliver the collected bikes. It was a great chance for the girls to show their leadership skills and work ethic to our community. They did a fantastic job of building over 50 bikes which were given to students in the district who were in need of and deserving a bike. The girls were very excited to work with Dr. Denise Birdwell and members of her executive board as well as the mayor!

Boys Basketball:
The Boys Basketball Team assisted in the Centennial Celebration by helping plant 100 trees. Some of the trees were planted on HUSD campuses, and some were planted throughout the community.

Women’s Soccer:
This winter Girls Soccer at Williams Field High School kicked off its first annual Turkey Trot caned food drive for a local food bank. Community members were encouraged to come to Williams Field and donate food and be physically active at the same time. The initiative was to raise awareness of community needs and to promote physical activity. We raised over 300 cans of food for the holiday season. We felt that it was important to give back to the community that has given us so much and since food banks are especially stressed and overwhelmed over the holiday season it seemed like the perfect time.

Boys Soccer:
The Williams Fields boy's soccer team participated in the canned food drive and walk with the girl's soccer team.

Wrestling:
The Black Hawk Wrestlers assisted in working in the Soccer Turkey Trot with can collect and event management.

Varsity Football:
The Varsity Football Program supported Breast Cancer Awareness by adorning Pink Ribbons with Black Hawks written on them. The team wore the decals for the whole month of October. In addition, the Athletic Department sold T-Shirts and the same helmet decals with all proceeds going to The Breast Cancer Society.

Men’s Golf:
The Men’s golf team spent 6 hours in August at Toka Sticks helping to move about 20,000 sq. ft of sod and 20 tons of dirt. The dirt was for the upkeep of the tee box.

Women’s Golf:
The Women’s golf team made a generous donation to the Adopt-A-Family Organization

Women’s Volleyball:
The Women’s Volleyball team threw a wonderful ‘Dig Pink’ event at their last home game to raise money for breast cancer awareness.

Cross Country:
The Cross Country team hosts the Middle School Cross Country Tournament and assist in cleaning up the community by bimonthly ‘trash pick up’
