Track and Field
WFHS Girls’ Track Team placed 3rd at the Region Meet with 101 points.
Maddi Smith placed 3rd in the 400 with a time of 1:02.37.
Catie Davies placed 3rd in the 3200 with a time of 12:35.60.
The 4x400 meter relay team of Jessie Smith, Erin Gale, Maddie Smith and Hannah Davies placed 3rd just missing 2nd by 8/100th’s of a second with a new PR of 4:23.18.
Sage Adams placed 3rd in the Shot Put with a new PR of 33’9.5”.

We have 4 New state champions at WFHS. The boys 4x1 Team of Sean Schweichler, Aaron Hill, Brandon Warren, and Alex Howard took the State Championship at MCC.
Aaron Hill also became a State Champion in the Long Jump jumping 23’6”. That jump ranks him # 1 in the state in ANY Division and moves him to 52nd in the nation. There are over 60,000 ranked jumpers from across the country and Aaron ranks 52. Aaron also finished 3rd in the high jumps and 5th in the 100m

Other notable performances were Thewens Antoine finishing 8th in 110 hurdles and Tim Butticci finishing 3rd in the triple jump.

There were also Three Freshmen boys that qualified for state Derek Gregson, Sean Schweichler, and Quincy Dickie. It is very often that freshmen boys qualify for state so congratulations to them.
